It was with immense pleasure and great excitement that we welcomed Joshua na die Reen to Millys over the Mothersday weekend. Even though the day turned out to be icy, we lit the Millys fireplaces and our guests could sit down to a candlelit dinner toasty warm. A beautiful Harvest Table with a variety of cheeses, homemade breads, pates and other yummy eats served as starter while the guests mingled awaiting the main attraction. After a main course of tender Beef Fillet we sat down to relax to the soothing sounds of Joshua na die Reen.
What a talented artist!! It was great to listen to the stories behind the music and extra special as the singer’s mother joined us for the evening. Aside from performing some of his wellknown hits, he also spoiled us (and from what we could understand his mom) with a few jazz numbers and older classics. A rare combination of pure voice and musicality! By the end of the evening I looked around the room and couldn’t help but notice feet tapping and smiles all around.
It all of course ended with a decadent dessert and CD signings – more than one happy fan left with a photo with our artist as well!
Millys would love to host more evenings like this one, so watch our Facebook page for more performances coming soon!
